Description

BO8805SS

This reliable oven from KKT KOLBE comes with a range of practical features. The appliance can be operated conveniently using rotary knobs. A double heat-insulating glass door keeps the outer pane at a pleasantly low temperature. The appliance is equipped with a child safety lock. This model also features a SteamClean cleaning system. Dirt and residue are softened by steam, making them easy to wipe away.

Thanks to the PowerAir convection function with ring heating element, you achieve optimal heat distribution inside the oven and get excellent results on every shelf level. The defrost function allows frozen food to be thawed gently and quickly. The full-width grill is ideal for larger quantities of foods such as steaks, schnitzels, and fish. It is also suitable for toasting.

This appliance is designed for low-temperature cooking in EcoCook mode. Fat starts to splatter at around 172°C. If meat is roasted at the usual 180 to 200°C, grease splashes can build up inside the oven. With this oven, roasting at 165°C using the grill roasting system keeps the temperature just below the point at which fat starts to splatter. This helps keep the oven cleaner during use.

Example:
When preparing a pork roast, add approx. 1 litre of water, one carrot, half an onion, and half a stock cube to the dripping pan. Place the pork roast, skin side down first, on the wire rack directly above it. Turn after about 20 minutes. The roast becomes evenly browned and very juicy. The crackling turns crispy and crunchy. The juices collected in the dripping pan can then be blended into a delicious sauce. The same method can also be used for beef, game, poultry, and fish.
